Separate polygon workspace

Contour nesting

Plan actual outlines, including concave parts, on rectangular stock.

Simple closed polygons, including concave outlines. Up to 40 instances, 32 vertices per ring and four holes per part. Holes stay in the geometry but are treated as solid obstacles during nesting. Curves and machine instructions are not supported. Coordinates are limited to ±100000 units; edges and spacing must be at least 0.000001 units.

Geometry with explicit units

Import simple outer contours from SVG or ASCII DXF. Closed polygons and straight path segments only; curves, holes, transforms, blocks, and 3D entities need preparation in CAD first.

Up to 1 MB, 40 separate contours, 32 vertices per contour. Files are parsed in this browser. Original outlines are retained; unsupported geometry stops the import.

Edit polygon coordinates and quantities

Each row needs id, label, outer vertices and quantity. Optional holes are arrays of vertices. Do not repeat the closing vertex. Allowed rotations are 0, 90, 180 and 270; grain is none, length or width in the original coordinates.

4 placed · 0 unplaced · 2 sheets. Inches. Changes above apply when you run nesting.

This deterministic heuristic tests a bounded set of positions. It does not prove the minimum sheet count. Spacing is a geometric clearance, not a toolpath or cutter-compensation setting.
